Testing Materials for Our Bee-Bot Adventure Map

In DT this week, the children explored a range of materials, including cloth, foil, paper, and card, to investigate which surfaces work best for Bee-Bots to travel across. They carefully tested each material, observed how the Bee-Bots moved, and discussed the advantages and disadvantages of different surfaces.

This investigation is helping us plan and design our very own Bee-Bot Adventure Map. The children will use their findings to select suitable materials and create an exciting interactive map for programming challenges.

By the end of the term, we hope to share our finished adventure map with the children in Reception, giving them the opportunity to explore, play, and develop their early computing skills using the Bee-Bots. We are looking forward to seeing our designs come to life and inspiring the next generation of programmers!
