We are called by God to excellence and we at The Good Shepherd take this calling very seriously. Every child, regardless of their background or starting point, has a divine right to an excellent education, and as the Head teacher of the Good Shepherd School I will ensure that those standards will remain excellent.
There are always changes in education, the learning environment is never static. Our staff team, with the governors, work hard to be ahead of the curve. At all times our goal has been to be the best that we can be-not simply to meet standards.
In St. John’s Gospel, Jesus says ‘I have come that you may have life, and live it to the full’. We want every child in to have the opportunities available to them that will enable them to ‘live their lives to the full’, where they are bursting with enthusiasm, awe and wonder. Our outstanding curriculum touches the children’s spirits, inspires their minds, their hearts and their thinking, so that they can use the tools they have learnt, to go out into the world and make a difference.
The spirit of collaboration leads to great things, we have a wonderful school community which is rich in diversity, dedicated Governors who really love our school, and a committed staff team that always go beyond their call of duty.
