Over the course of this branch, nursery children will embark on a journey of faith and love through Bible stories that highlight the teachings of Jesus. They will hear the story of the Wise Men visiting Jesus (Matthew 2:1-12) and learn how Jesus welcomed and blessed the little children (Mark 10:16), reinforcing that His love is for everyone. Through these stories, they will believe that Jesus was born for all people, and that His message of love and kindness extends to everyone, no matter their age or background. The children will also celebrate the Glory Be, a special prayer that acknowledges God's greatness, helping them to understand the joy of praising God. Lastly, they will live the teachings of Jesus by practicing love, care, and kindness toward others, just as He did, learning to show love to everyone in their daily actions. This branch will nurture their growing understanding of faith and encourage them to embody the love and compassion that Jesus taught.
The children created crowns in celebration of the Epiphany. When the Three Kings' visited to Jesus. It's a wonderful way to bring the story of the Epiphany to life and instill a sense of wonder and reverence in young hearts. Through this creative activity, children not only learn about the significance of the Three Kings and their journey, but also get to express their own creativity and imagination.
In addition to making crowns, children crafted stars from playdough for the Kings to follow. The star, symbolic of guidance and hope, becomes a hands-on way for children to connect with the story. Their joy and enthusiasm in making these crowns and stars reflect the timeless excitement and awe that has surrounded this story for generations. It's truly a special moment that bridges history and faith, reminding us all of the miraculous events of that holy night.
We have been celebrating the profound truth that Jesus was born for everyone. Through the story of Jesus and the Little Children (Mark 10:16), we see Jesus welcoming the little ones with open arms, teaching us the importance of showing love and kindness to everyone. We were able to sequence the story of Jesus and the Little Children, helping us understand how Jesus valued each and every person.
