“I am the Good Shepherd; I know my own and my own know me”. John 10:14"
In this branch of nursery, children will explore themes of caring, belief, celebration, and living through the lens of the Lent and Easter seasons. They'll learn that Lent is a time to show kindness and care for others, reflecting on Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and understanding it as a solemn time. They’ll hear how Jesus was given new life by God, which leads to the joyous celebration of his resurrection. Through simple symbols, such as the color purple and seeds that grow, they’ll recognize Lent’s spirit of growth and reflection. As Easter approaches, they’ll learn about new life symbolized by the color white, growth, and the creation of an Easter garden. They'll also engage in celebrating through meaningful symbols and traditions like hot cross buns, Easter eggs, and blooming gardens. These activities help them grasp the message of loving God and everyone around them, echoing the Great Commandment, while emphasizing the importance of caring for others and celebrating life’s renewal.
