Year 5 Secondary Taster Day at All Saints

Year 5 was very lucky to be invited to All Saints for a secondary school taster day!

This visit gave our children the chance to experience life in a secondary school by sampling different lessons, enjoying break time, and getting a feel for the transition ahead.

It was a fun and rewarding experience that helped everyone feel more confident about the move to secondary school!

Heart-warming Visit to the Elgin Centre (with TimeGivers)

Year 5 had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Elgin Centre, where we spent quality time with the elderly in the neighborhood. We had a lovely time together, painting flower pots, chatting, coloring, laughing, and simply enjoying each other’s company.

Miss Poon is incredibly proud of how kind and genuine each of you all were. It was truly heart-warming to see the care and warmth you showed, making the elderly feel so welcome and valued. Your kindness really brightened their day!

Watching "Guys and Dolls" at All Saints!

Today, we visited All Saints to watch a dress rehearsal of Guys and Dolls performed by the students. It was an incredible experience! We enjoyed live music, listened to amazing songs, and watched some fantastic dancing. To make it even better, we had popcorn and drinks while enjoying the show. It was a fun and memorable afternoon!

Investigating the River

Today, Year 5 had an exciting trip to investigate the River Thames, exploring its structures and features while uncovering fascinating historical facts through the bricks we found. We also conducted a pH test to examine the water quality, deepening our understanding of the river’s health.

However, we also noticed a lot of pollution, which led us to reflect on Laudato Si’ and our responsibility as stewards of God’s creation. Seeing the litter in the river reminded us of the importance of caring for our environment and protecting the world God has given us.

It was a hands-on and eye-opening experience, connecting science, history, and faith, and reminding us all of the role we play in looking after our planet!
