Come Dine With Us Year 6
Food Technology is an essential component of our Design Technology offer.
Beginning in Early Years, and throughout their time at The Good Shepherd, children with have opportunities for preparing dishes, using and understanding the principles of a healthy diet. From year 1 children cook with a specialist cookery teacher. In years 4 - 6 children’s cooking talents are celebrated with parents and staff.
This culminates in our summer Year 6 Come Dine With US extravaganza.
In preparation for Come Dine With Us, Year 6 Children are given the opportunity to visit a world renowned restaurant, The River Café, where they get to go behind the scenes of this world-famous restaurant!
Sian Wyn Owens, head chef and parent at The Good Shepherd, takes the children on a behind the scenes tour of The River Cafe, and then helps them prepare, cook and host their very own Come Dine With Us.
